spoiler: the sprouts are a bit foamy
Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken, and my sprouts are a bit bendy today.

This is the first post on my new blog.
If i’m completely honest, there’s a fairly good chance it will be my last also. That’s not a cry for help, I just tend to start procrastinojects (new word #1: projects born of procrastination) and then let them die in their infancy.
So, office supplies today, include exclusively, 2 day old “garden pea” sprouts and an unopened packet of pepitas. Best before on the pepitas is 2020… and incidentally I am reading that from about 2 foot away, and can see it quite clearly. Labeling says they’re a product of China, but packaged in Australia. Curious.
We’ve just ordered some tech hardware for our startup from China. I hope it arrives soon, and we can get the cost per unit down to that of a bag of pepitas ($2.99). Please and thank you China.
I’m currently munching on the aforementioned, spongy sprouts. The pepitas remain unopened.
You might be A. not reading this far, because you have a life and things to do, or B. thinking she’s eating the sprouts first because they’re getting more limpid by the day, tomorrow they’ll be forming a thin slimy film of illness and she won’t want them then… but no. I actually way prefer the sprouts, foamy or not. I guess I bought the pepitas, pronounced: Peter’s (with a stutter), for diversity, we’re all about that in this office. They add a crunch and chew factor not offered by the humble pea sprout, but ultimately taste like condensed cardboard pellets. Someone (who’s not me) should be oven roasting them in soy sauce or something. I might email China about that later. If the government lets my email through and someone starts producing my genius idea, and then ships it back to Aus, and it turns up in the grocer up the road from me, and i notice them and purchase a packet, i’ll be sure to blog about it, possibly.
I’ll talk more about the irresistible lure of the humble pea sprout, another day, as i’m confident they’ll be a reoccurring topic, on this already viral blog spot. A day will come when the thousands of you reading this, will eagerly scurry across the internet to read my latest foosings (new word 2#: food musings) and see pea sprouts – and be all “ha! that old chestnut!” and then in generations to come, they’ll end up being called “old chestnuts”.
Families will be at their local grocer.
A young boy tugs at his mother’s skirt, “mummy, mummy! can we buy a bag of old chestnuts?!!”
Mother chuckles softly, “N-No P-Peter, I’ve already selected a bag of the soy roasted old chestnuts, dear” *camera pans to soy roasted pepitas aaaaaaaaaaaaand CUT*
